Our Mission –  Connect inspired and innovative professional educators with fellow educators to share ideas that can be immediately implemented in the classroom.

Shannon  Siegler                                   siegs

I have worked with young adolescents for over twenty years and still love every minute of it!   I began my teaching career in the Baltimore-Washington D.C.  area teaching in both Prince George’s and Baltimore counties.  After ten years of teaching English in urban middle schools, I moved to NH where I currently teach 8th grade ELA at Laconia Middle School.  Throughout my career, I have worked with universities to educate in-service teachers and district councils to write curriculum and facilitate district initiatives. My new passion is educating educators.  I am enjoying sharing engagement strategies and tech integration ideas at regional and national conferences.

I began my career at Mount Prospect Academy; a placement program for At-Risk adolescent males, teaching English Language Arts for grades 6-12. After several years, I transitioned back into the public school arena and am in my second year teaching 8th grade ELA at Laconia Middle School. I am passionate about classroom engagement strategies and their implementation to create a vibrant learning environment for students. I am looking forward to further my career by sharing my experiences in the movement to a 1:1 classroom, and assist educators in who are embarking on similar journeys.

Beginning my teaching career in 1993, I had the joy of working in the primary and intermediate levels of elementary education before entering the middle school classroom as an eighth grade ELA teacher.  Working with these young adolescents was an amazing privilege and source of inspiration for me.  Having recently relocated to the NH seacoast with my family, I am currently researching and writing while staying connected to middle school teachers and their students in hopes of providing valuable resources to them and opportunities to share their stories with one another.
